Get Your Skin Ready For Summer

Here’s how you can flaunt smooth, touchable skin!


Now that it’s the season for shorter skirts and barely-there outfits, it’s important to keep your skin in top shape. Here are 6 easy ways you can show off smoother, softer skin and keep dry, flaky skin away.

1. Switch up your products.

As the season changes, so should your products. When shopping, read the label and look for keywords like lightweight, non-greasy, and fast absorbing. This way, the creams you slather on will feel lighter on your skin. 

2. Heal dry skin with a potent lotion

Of course, a deep-penetrating body lotion is a must for the season for silky, sexy skin! Grab one that’s clinically-proven to moisturize deeply within the first application to repair, dry and cracked areas stat. To make sure you apply it regularly, look for one that your skin absorbs fast and doesn’t feel sticky, so you’ll be more inclined to use it despite the heat. Tip: Focus on areas that get extra dry like your elbows, knees, lower legs, and upper arms.

3. Exfoliate all over!

Regularly sloughing off dead skin cells will not only leave your skin smoother and brighter, but it also lets your skin absorb moisture faster. Once or twice a week, give your face and body a good scrub (you can use a nylon glove or body pouf) to get glowing skin all over. 

4. Drink water - lots of it.

In the summer, our bodies lose more water because the heat makes you sweat a lot more. The best way to replenish it is by chugging down more liquids, particularly water. Stay away from caffeinated or alcoholic beverages! They may seem so tempting - especially when you’re trying to cool down - but they can actually dehydrate you faster. If you really want something that’s good for your body and your skin, stick to a cold glass of H20. 

5.  Slather on the sun protection

Of course, you have to remember to keep yourself protected from the harmful UV rays from the sun. Apply an ample amount of sunscreen on your face, neck, and body at least 30 minutes before you step out of your house. Start this habit as early as possible - your future self with be grateful that you did.
