This Anti-Acne Skin Regimen Will Give You Clear, Radiant Skin

Say yes to the best skincare routine ever.

Hormonal bumps, work stress, hereditary acne—breakouts are just a sad fact of life. But if you’ve got acne-prone skin, then pimples are just one of the issues you’re dealing with. Follow our tips to combat recurring zits, acne scars, redness, uneven skin tone, large pores, and oily skin, then get ready to experience your best skin yet!

1. Cleanse correctly.
You don’t need to wash your face often to keep it clean, since over-washing can lead to more skin problems (twice a day is enough). For your foaming wash, pick one that uses the TT technology—the latest in anti-acne ingredients. TT is short for Thymol and Terpineol, two powerful ingredients that fight bacteria (it’s the root cause of acne).  And while you’re at it, avoid using too-warm water for rinsing since this can dry up your skin.

2. Nourish your skin daily.
Did you know that many products meant to fight acne can also strip your skin’s natural moisture barrier? The result: A dry complexion that overcompensates by producing more oil. Always balance your moisture levels with a multi-benefit day cream that rehydrates skin, combats acne, prevents future breakouts, and fades problematic pimple marks.

Tip: Maximize its benefits by choosing a formula with antioxidant-rich and antibacterial Korean Ginseng and Saffron. Not only do these active ingredients purify, brighten, and even out skin tone, but they also help repair damaged skin cells and decrease skin inflammation.

3. Use a topical treatment.
When choosing a spot treatment to apply on affected area, make sure to opt for one with salicylic acid (yes, that’s really the magic, pimple-fighting ingredient). This effective acne buster works by sloughing away dead skin cells, helps in controlling oil, and kills bacteria causing pimples without overdrying your skin. Win!

4. Eat right.
You are what you eat, especially if what you eat is causing skin inflammation. For clear, glowing skin, avoid white flour and white sugar, which causes your blood sugar to spike. Instead opt for fresh leafy greens, antioxidant-rich fruits (oranges, strawberries, cherries, and tomatoes), and food rich in omega-3 fatty acids—salmon, sardines, almonds, and flax seeds—that soothe inflammation and help keep acne at bay.
